Moonmist at Twilight

Like a lakebreeze's
gentle evening coolness
voiceless whispers
of twilight's wind
caress kiss me
butterflying my face
with a cherub's lips
turning my pedalled sweat
(while the road stretches ahead
a dry river of red)
into a balm
cooler than moonmist.
